Dr. Stephanie Christner is the medical director at RenuYou. She is not your stereotypical psychiatrist! While Dr. Christner can and will use pharmaceuticals when necessary, her goal is to look at the root cause and help individuals improve their health through natural alternatives and supplementation. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Oklahoma State University and went on to complete her residency with the University of Oklahoma Department of Family Medicine and Psychiatry. She was awakened to do intense research as to the cause of her 6-month-old daughter’s sudden death, after getting inoculations. The research connected environmental issues and genetic variations as the root cause. This resulted in a profound motivation to understand the biochemical processes involved that can lead to disease in susceptible individuals and the staggering increase in chronic metabolic diseases (diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue), neurologic disease (autoimmune disorders, developmental disorders, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s) and psychiatric disease (PTSD, suicide, depression, bipolar, anxiety, psychosis, substance dependence). RenuYou is delighted to have such a compassionate, dedicated Doctor of Psychiatry on staff.
