What happens during a typical treatment session?

Based on your symptoms, you’ll be assessed and given a light therapy session for 5-10 minutes in the appropriate areas. Moderate pain relief is often achieved after only one treatment; however, a series of treatments are often recommended to limit the recurrence of pain.

What is involved in the photobiomics gut protocol?

The photobiomics gut protocol involves a series of light treatments specifically targeting the stomach area. As you lay down on a comfortable table, the treatment is performed directly over the stomach, and each session lasts only 10 minutes. During the sessions, you will experience a relaxing sensation and a warm feeling.

Absolutely not! Similarly, mammograms do not replace thermography. In fact, the two tests complement each other. Thermography can be used in addition to mammography as part of regular breast health care.

What happens in a Sound Bowl Therapy session?

In a Sound Bowl Therapy session, the technician will place small brass sound bowls on specific areas of your body. They will then use a rubber mallet to circle the edge of the bowls, creating sustained sounds and vibrations. These soothing sounds and vibrations promote relaxation and enhance your overall well-being.

Sound Bowl Therapy
What is Sound Frequency?

Sound frequency refers to the number of oscillations of sound waves per second, measured in hertz (Hz). Audible frequencies for the human body include sound waves between 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.

Do I have to do the testing in-house?

Yes and no. We can have a test kit shipped directly to your home. This includes blood, urine, and stool samples. If a blood draw is required, we will provide you with the information needed to go to your closest Lab Corp to have the blood taken. Other tests, such as Thermography, Brain Mapping, and Pathogen Testing, must be done in-house.

Comprehensive Testing
What is the first step once we decide to begin?

The first step is to schedule your Quantitative EEG. This is a 20-channel recording of total brain wave activity that helps us create what we call a “Brain Map.” Your Brain Map shows us what part of your brain is over or underactive and gives us prescriptions for how to treat with Neurofeedback. The Brain Map will take place here in our office unless otherwise arranged, and your customized Neurofeedback protocols will focus specifically on normalizing abnormal brain wave patterns found in your QEEG.

What type of things can I expect to experience after my treatment?

After the photobiomics gut treatment, you may experience certain effects related to the targeted pathogens in the gut. These could include stomach cramps, changes in stool consistency (such as hard or loose stools), and the possibility of passing worms in your stool. These effects are part of the natural healing process as the treatment works to address gut-related issues.

What is the difference between a sound bowl session and a sound bath session?

A sound bowl session and a sound bath are both sound therapy practices that utilize the vibrations and sounds of various instruments for relaxation and healing. However, there are some differences between the two:

In a sound bowl session, the primary focus is on individualized therapy. The practitioner may use specific techniques with individual sound bowls placed on certain areas of the body. The intention is to target specific areas or address the individual's goals, physical condition, or desired outcomes. This personalized approach allows for a more targeted and individualized experience.

On the other hand, a sound bath is a group experience where participants lie down or sit in a room while the practitioner or multiple practitioners play various instruments, such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, or drums. The instruments are played in a continuous and flowing manner, creating an immersive and enveloping sound experience. A sound bath often focuses on relaxation, stress reduction, and creating a harmonious and resonant atmosphere for participants to bathe in the soothing sounds.

Is there any radiation danger or potential to be burned or shocked?

Light Therapy does not emit any x-ray (ionizing) radiation. It only emits pure light. Unlike a laser’s focused light, light emitted by this therapy diffuses and reduces the risk of burn.

Photobiomodulation for Pain
Do I have to get undressed?

This depends on the area of the body being treated. For example, if you are doing a gut treatment, you can lift your shirt and slightly lower your pants. For pain therapy, you will want to wear loose-fitting clothes and expect to get undressed if your pain area is unreachable by moving the clothes around.

Photobiomics for Gut Health
Is thermography safe?

Yes! Thermal imaging uses no radiation or intravenous methods and does not touch the body. The procedure is painless and completely safe. Infrared imaging does not replace any other form of imaging (e.g., CT, MRI, mammography) but is designed to be used in addition to other tests to provide physiological information that cannot be obtained from any other examination procedure.

How often are neurofeedback treatments?

Neurofeedback treatments are recommended at least two to three times per week. Two treatments can be completed in one day as long as we schedule three hours between sessions – this is especially helpful for our out-of-town clients. We offer treatments in 25 session blocks, as Neurofeedback Therapy requires reinforcement training. Positive changes occur over time.

Photobiomodulation for Pain
Can thermography be done while pregnant and/or breastfeeding?

No. Thermography should not be done during pregnancy or while lactating. Due to the increase in blood flow to the breast tissue, this does not allow for an accurate reading or baseline establishment.

Does insurance cover the cost of Neurofeedback Therapy?

Because Neurofeedback Therapy has been developed more recently, many insurance companies are only now beginning to recognize it. We do not offer direct billing, but some of our clients have been able to get partial reimbursements or deductible credits from their insurance companies. To find out if your insurance company will reimburse any of your expenses, contact your insurance company about Neurofeedback Services. Give them the billing code 90901 (EEG Biofeedback) to find out what is covered for your diagnosis. We are approved for Sooner Care for those 18 years old and under. Unfortunately, Medicare does not currently cover our services. We urge clients not to allow this to hinder getting started with Neurofeedback, as it truly pays for itself.

Please join us in helping to educate our lawmakers and insurance companies about Neurofeedback Therapy. There are so many who need our services.

Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback
How many treatments are needed?

This varies based on many factors, including chronicity of disease, strength of the immune system, frequency of treatments, and much more. A series of 4 treatments is usually administered to evaluate the effectiveness and determine the appropriate number of additional sessions.

Photobiomodulation for Pain
At what age can thermography be done?

Since thermography is non-invasive, this test can be done at any age! Mammograms are not recommended until 40 years old. This makes thermography an excellent option for younger women that want to be proactive about their breast health.

Do you offer flexible payment options?

Yes, we do offer payment plans. Please speak with our office staff regarding the options available. We offer a discount when payment is made in full for 25 sessions. We also partner with Care Credit. Care Credit provides 0% interest for 18 months. Call 1(800) 365-8295 to qualify. The non-discounted rate applies when Care Credit is utilized.

Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback
Can Light Therapy be combined with other therapies?

Yes. Light Therapy works well alone or with other therapies such as acupuncture, neurofeedback, chiropractic, physical therapy, and more.

Photobiomodulation for Pain
Does Neurofeedback change personality?

No. Neurofeedback does not change personality. Personality is the expression of many genetic factors, along with the environment that shapes it. Many clients are concerned because the drugs prescribed to children and adults sometimes seem to “change their personality.” This falls under the category of a drug side effect which is not permanent but is bothersome. This is not the case with Neurofeedback. In fact, we believe that Neurofeedback helps children and adults become more of who they really are without the interference of troublesome symptoms of brain dis-regulation and drug-related side effects.

Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback
Can changes in blood circulation be monitored?

Yes. High-resolution infrared images can be taken before and after the initial treatment, clearly detailing blood circulation and the effect of Light Therapy.
